It's Jessie Williams here for you again, for the culture. We checked out the @Blebrity app. Do you feel nostalgia? Like about 90s culture. Well, we have a new app that is sure to make you feel like a new episode of Martin is about to air on Sunday.
The game is charades and to win you need to be cultured. Black cultured. Similar to the popular What'sUp gaming app backed by Ellen DeGeneres, Blebrity features over 25 different genres that invite users to act out or guess historical black trivia and facts. Just to name a few. We think this is an awesome game to bring co-workers, families, and drinking friends together. Jesse Williams is an actor and an activist for the Black Lives Matter cause. He is very avid about his views that Black professionals have to do their part and reinvest in the community economically. In his acceptance speech of the BET Humanitarian Award, he proclaimed, "We’ve been floating this country on credit for centuries, yo. And we’re done watching and waiting while this invention called whiteness uses and abuses us, burying black people out of sight and out of mind while extracting our culture, our dollars, our entertainment, like oil, black gold. Ghettoizing and demeaning our creations, then stealing them, gentrifying our genius, and then trying us on like costumes before discarding our bodies like rinds of strange fruit. The thing is though, the thing is, that just because we’re magic doesn’t mean we’re not real."
